Northern Australia Food Futures
The biennial Northern Australia Food Futures Conference, now in its 6th iteration, is the cornerstone of Northern Territory Farmers Association (NT Farmers).
They are proud to be partnering with AgForce Queensland (AgForce), Ord River District Co-operative (ORDCO) and Kimberley Pilbara Cattlemen’s Association (KPCA) on the 8th & 9th April 2025 in Darwin, Northern Territory. The conference theme is ‘Innovative Agribusiness in Northern Australia: Nurturing Natural Assets for Future Growth’ which focuses on developing new and creative approaches to agriculture in the northern region of Australia.
This conference will bring together industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers to discuss cutting-edge strategies for responsible agriculture in the unique environment of Northern Australia, emphasising the importance of preserving and enhancing our natural resources for responsible development and prosperity for future generations.
This two-day conference is the premier event in Australia focusing on agricultural growth and development in the North.

Nick Ormsby - Owner of NT Hedging and Contracting, NT Broadacre, and Razor Rock Farms
Nick has been involved in the agricultural sector his entire life. He owned and operated Northern Hedging and Contracting for 16 years and is actively involved in the mango and forestry industries. He recently established NT Broadacre to service the growing broadacre cropping industry. Nick also owns a mango farm with 7200 honey gold mango trees. In this episode, he shares his perspective on the 2023 conference theme, "Northern Australia - Myths, Realities and Opportunities" from the perspective of a business owner with a diversified portfolio.
