Northern Australia Food Futures
The biennial Northern Australia Food Futures Conference, now in its 6th iteration, is the cornerstone of Northern Territory Farmers Association (NT Farmers).
They are proud to be partnering with AgForce Queensland (AgForce), Ord River District Co-operative (ORDCO) and Kimberley Pilbara Cattlemen’s Association (KPCA) on the 8th & 9th April 2025 in Darwin, Northern Territory. The conference theme is ‘Innovative Agribusiness in Northern Australia: Nurturing Natural Assets for Future Growth’ which focuses on developing new and creative approaches to agriculture in the northern region of Australia.
This conference will bring together industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers to discuss cutting-edge strategies for responsible agriculture in the unique environment of Northern Australia, emphasising the importance of preserving and enhancing our natural resources for responsible development and prosperity for future generations.
This two-day conference is the premier event in Australia focusing on agricultural growth and development in the North.

Frank Miller - Consultant, Forestry and Agriculture Investment
Frank has over 20 years experience in the forestry industry. He has managed the largest African Mahogany estate in the world, located outside Katherine, and now works as a consultant in Forestry and Agriculture investment. In 2018 he was awarded a Nuffield scholarship to study silvopastoralism and is applying his findings to forestry in the Territory. Frank is a founding member and president of the Forestry Industry Association of the NT. Frank is currently a director on the board of NT Farmers Association. In this episode he shares his perspective on the 2023 conference theme, "Northern Australia - Myths, Realities and Opportunities", through the lens of an experienced forester.
